Richland Hills, TX, in northeast Tarrant County, offers compact mid-century neighborhoods, Birdville ISD access, and a close-knit community. Build Strong provides expert kitchen, bathroom, and home remodeling services tailored to established local properties.
The specific corrosion level of galvanized lines varies by property even within the same city block. We field-assess the actual condition before pricing any plumbing scope.
Plaster walls are identified before demo begins so the additional handling scope is in the written proposal, not a mid-project change order.
Every required permit is filed with the City of Richland Hills. We manage every application, inspection, and final closeout record.
In a city as small as Richland Hills, renovation quality is visible from the street. We apply professional standards to every exterior and interior scope on every Richland Hills project.

Unlike cities with multiple development periods, Richland Hills has a remarkably uniform housing stock almost every home was built during the 1950s and 1960s. This uniformity means that virtually every renovation project in the city involves the same original conditions: galvanized steel supply lines, original 60-to-100-amp electrical panels, closed kitchen floor plans, and in the oldest properties, lath-and-plaster wall construction. A contractor who knows these conditions before walking in the door can scope accurately. One who discovers them during demolition arrives with change orders. Lath-and-plaster walls in Richland Hills' oldest homes require specific handling when opened for plumbing or electrical updates. Plaster does not accept tile adhesive the same way cement board does, and cutting into lath without the correct approach creates more demolition scope than the original plan assumed. We identify plaster walls at the site visit and price the additional handling in the proposal, not after demo reveals it. Richland Hills' compact lot sizes create specific outdoor addition parameters. We confirm setback requirements and available footprint before designing any patio cover or deck so the structure passes the City of Richland Hills inspection on the first submission.

Richland Hills renovation timelines reflect the mid-century infrastructure conditions standard in this city. A bathroom renovation with plumbing assessment runs four to six weeks. A kitchen remodel with layout change, plumbing replacement, and lath-and-plaster handling runs ten to fourteen weeks. Full renovations take three to six months. Every timeline is confirmed in writing.
Every permit is filed with the City of Richland Hills Community Development Department. Build Strong prepares applications, attends inspections, and manages the permit to final closeout. Homeowners have no permit responsibilities.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience working with David Rubin and his team on my backyard project. From the very beginning to the completion of my back porch and beautiful gazebo area, David was there every step of the way. I had several contractors come out and give me estimates, but David immediately stood out. He was personable, honest, trustworthy, reliable, and genuinely interested in understanding exactly what I wanted. As a single woman who had never taken on a project like this before, I honestly had no idea where to start. David made the entire process comfortable and stress-free. I never felt pressured or taken advantage of. David worked with me on financing to make the project affordable while still giving me what I wanted. He went above and beyond what I expected. He even provided a shower door at no additional cost and moved and stained my fence without charging me extra. While I was at work, David and his crew handled everything—from picking up supplies to coordinating the work and making sure everything was taken care of. Whenever I had a concern, an idea, or something I felt needed to be corrected, David listened and took care of it right away. He would call and check in regularly to make sure I was happy and that everything was progressing the way it should. What impressed me most was that David treated my project as if it were his own. He didn’t just want to finish the job—he wanted me to be happy with the result. And the best part is that even after the project was completed, David has continued to be helpful. He has offered to connect me with people who can help with other things around my home, such as putting furniture together, installing ceiling fans, and other handyman projects. I truly feel like I gained a friend, not just a contractor. My backyard turned out beautiful, and I am extremely happy with the quality of the work and, most importantly, with how I was treated throughout the entire process. If you are looking for someone who is honest, dependable, caring, and truly stands behind his work, I highly recommend David Rubin and his team. You will not regret choosing them! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Posted on Google![]()

The Build Strong team actually completed two projects - one to repair water damage to my retaining wall and a second to refurbish a very old pool deck that wasn't really safe to walk on. The retaining wall repair included a new French drain to relieve water pressure after rainfall and the work was completed quickly. A more challenging project followed that involved removing all of the sandstone slabs around our pool and resetting them so that they were graded correctly for runoff and to improve the overall look and safety of the entire pool. A new French drain was also installed. The work was well done and has turned an unsafe eyesore back into a nice looking finish. The first image is the upgraded pool prior to power washing and the second is the original look. We were very satisfied with both projects.Posted on Google![]()
