Enhance your living space with experienced Professional Home Remodeling Services in Waxahachie, TX. Build Strong delivers beautiful kitchen renovations, bathroom makeovers, home additions, and customized improvements with quality craftsmanship and thoughtful designs.
The services below cover most of what Waxahachie homeowners ask us for. Each starts with a walkthrough and a written estimate, and they can be combined into one plan.
We remodel kitchens in historic homes and newer subdivisions alike. In older houses, we focus on structural changes, updated systems and finishes that suit the architecture. In newer homes, we replace builder-grade cabinets and counters, improve layouts and add features like walk-in pantries, coffee stations and larger islands.
We convert tubs to walk-in showers, install new vanities and toilets, and lay tile that suits the age of the house. Clawfoot tubs, hexagon tile and pedestal sinks fit Victorian homes, while clean, modern finishes suit newer houses. Every shower gets a waterproof membrane, and every bathroom receives an exhaust fan vented outdoors.
Many older Waxahachie homes have tall, steep roofs with usable space overhead. We turn attics into bedrooms, offices and playrooms with proper stairs, insulation, egress windows and HVAC. Each conversion begins with a check of floor framing, headroom and code requirements so the new room is safe and comfortable.

Homeowners who hire remodeling contractors in Waxahachie, TX want a team that understands both sides of the city: the historic heart that earned the nickname Gingerbread City, and the newer neighborhoods spreading out along I-35E and US 287. Build Strong Group Remodeling works in both. We remodel kitchens, bathrooms, attics and whole homes with plans tailored to the age and style of each house. Waxahachie is the county seat of Ellis County, and its 1890s courthouse still anchors a downtown full of restored brick buildings. The surrounding streets hold Victorian, Queen Anne and Craftsman homes with ornate trim, tall ceilings and wraparound porches, many of them featured on local home tours. Farther out, subdivisions built over the last few decades offer brick homes with open plans and attached garages, and new construction continues as more families discover the area. These two kinds of homes need different approaches. A Victorian house may have plaster walls, balloon framing, a pier-and-beam foundation and decades of electrical and plumbing changes hidden in the walls. A newer home is usually built to more modern standards but may need better finishes, a more functional layout or more space. We start each project with a walkthrough that looks at the structure, systems and finishes, then recommend a plan that suits the house. You receive a written, itemized estimate showing materials, labor and timeline. If the project is large, we help you set priorities and phase the work. Safety and structural items come first, then systems, then the visible upgrades.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience working with David Rubin and his team on my backyard project. From the very beginning to the completion of my back porch and beautiful gazebo area, David was there every step of the way. I had several contractors come out and give me estimates, but David immediately stood out. He was personable, honest, trustworthy, reliable, and genuinely interested in understanding exactly what I wanted. As a single woman who had never taken on a project like this before, I honestly had no idea where to start. David made the entire process comfortable and stress-free. I never felt pressured or taken advantage of. David worked with me on financing to make the project affordable while still giving me what I wanted. He went above and beyond what I expected. He even provided a shower door at no additional cost and moved and stained my fence without charging me extra. While I was at work, David and his crew handled everything—from picking up supplies to coordinating the work and making sure everything was taken care of. Whenever I had a concern, an idea, or something I felt needed to be corrected, David listened and took care of it right away. He would call and check in regularly to make sure I was happy and that everything was progressing the way it should. What impressed me most was that David treated my project as if it were his own. He didn’t just want to finish the job—he wanted me to be happy with the result. And the best part is that even after the project was completed, David has continued to be helpful. He has offered to connect me with people who can help with other things around my home, such as putting furniture together, installing ceiling fans, and other handyman projects. I truly feel like I gained a friend, not just a contractor. My backyard turned out beautiful, and I am extremely happy with the quality of the work and, most importantly, with how I was treated throughout the entire process. If you are looking for someone who is honest, dependable, caring, and truly stands behind his work, I highly recommend David Rubin and his team. You will not regret choosing them! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Posted on Google![]()

The Build Strong team actually completed two projects - one to repair water damage to my retaining wall and a second to refurbish a very old pool deck that wasn't really safe to walk on. The retaining wall repair included a new French drain to relieve water pressure after rainfall and the work was completed quickly. A more challenging project followed that involved removing all of the sandstone slabs around our pool and resetting them so that they were graded correctly for runoff and to improve the overall look and safety of the entire pool. A new French drain was also installed. The work was well done and has turned an unsafe eyesore back into a nice looking finish. The first image is the upgraded pool prior to power washing and the second is the original look. We were very satisfied with both projects.Posted on Google![]()
